What a better tour in Lucca, among churches and saints ….. sanctuaries! when spring comes and then I suggest a “turn” in Lucca, as they say, among the many churches, squares and sanctuaries in 20 minutes by car from B&B Sunrise.
I don’t want to make you a list but surely I propose you the visit to the Church of San Michele in Foro in the homonymous square where in the façade you can see the marble statue of the archangel Gabriel.
The Church of San Frediano built by the eponymous bishop, is gathered in a small square in the historic center of Lucca, a white facade, where the religious procession of the Holy Cross starts on September 13th of each year.
The Cathedral of San Martino overlooks a small square where the crossbow is held at night.
Then if you are believers .. or less, don’t worry, take a trip to Santa Gemma to whom they dedicated a sanctuary, where the Passionist nuns are located
