Reaching Candalla Waterfalls from B&B Sunrise is very simple.
You must take the direction for Camaiore which can be reached by car or by motorbike in about 30 minutes.
Go up for Lombrici, Vado / Casoli. The road is small and climbs up the gorges of the mountain that rises quickly from Camaiore in a landscape rich in luxuriant nature that almost recalls Brazil.
Once in Lombirici, continue to Candalla where the road ends near an old mill where you will find a small waterfall.
From here begins a scenic route of about 40 minutes on foot that goes up the mountain to reach Casoli along the old way called of Lombardy where in the XVI and XVIII centuries it was used to connect Versilia and Garfagnana to transport oil in Emilia and in Lombardy.
If you want to stop and dine here, find the Osteria Candalla, where it seems you eat very well, to say of a passing lady, to whom I asked for information … after all, even in Tripadvisor she confirms it.
The place is very characteristic and also suitable for those looking for fresh as in this torrid summer of 2012.
