Tuesday, March 20, 2013 I was in a Village of Massarosa at Pieve a Elici. It can be reached in 10 minutes by car from the Sunrise bed and breakfast.
The direction is towards Massarosa along the Sarzanese where you will follow the road sign for Pieve a Elici towards the hill that immediately rises in an exaggerated way. The road at times is small, sharp bends, among the olive trees.
When the “summit” is reached, so to speak, the space opens up as if a square were presented before it. The green lawn reaches up to the parish church of San Pantaleone, a church of Romanesque art, where I did not enter because it was closed. I admired the landscape … the 180 ° view that stretches before a series of benches under very thick trees. Here the brides coming from northern Italy love to celebrate the wedding in this Romanesque church, thanks to the suggestive scenery that can give the photos or during the summer season, classical music concerts are organized.
Otherwise, come here to relax, breathe fresh air, enjoy a wonderful view, take pictures … like these!
